Language models. There's so much talk about creating "helpful assistants" that can do your work for you. I feel like there's so much potential there if we look beyond our needs to see *what they are*.

I'm working on the Scout 50M LLM, written entirely in Python. It's sort of an experiment in cognition, to see what happens when a model is given a specific identity and placed in a feedback loop.
