Your coding year in review

Exploring the internet, I stumbled upon GitHub Unwrapped—a fascinating tool that automatically creates a video based on your GitHub activity over the past year. It showcases your most-used languages, those spontaneous late-night coding sessions, stars earned, and more. Plus, it’s open source.

This gem is built using Remotion, another open-source project that enables automating video creation with React for web. The documentation is good, but you need to figure it out. I thought it was so cool that I had to share it n dev.to!

At the end of the video, I added a little extra—an update about my own open-source pet project, which contributed heavily to my stats and the video itself. Fun fact: Wunjo was recently named Product of the Week on Product Radar with record number votes from Makers!
