Announcing RODiT API: Revolutionizing API Authentication

We're excited to announce the upcoming release of RODiT API, our innovative API subscription and authentication solution. Built on the foundation of Rich Online Digital Tokens (RODiT) and blockchain technology, RODiT API addresses critical challenges in API security and management.

Key Features

  1. Seamless Integration: Simplified API on boarding with integrated subscription and authentication via blockchain tokens
  2. Enhanced Security: Self-generated digital certificates with pinned keys, eliminating the need for traditional certificate management
  3. Mutual Authentication: Default mutual authentication for both API clients and servers, including web hooks
  4. Stateless Operations: Fully stateless authentication, permissions, rate limits, and geolocation restrictions without the need for a backend database
  5. Client-Side Session Management: Simplified API usage with server-side managed sessions
  6. Flexible Key Management: Independent encryption key pair changes among endpoints with no imposed expiration
  7. Local Key Generation: Increased security through locally generated keys, eliminating the need for central key management

Benefits

RODiT API solves critical issues in API authentication and management:

  • Synchronizes subscription, configuration, and authentication lifecycles
  • Prevents unauthorized subscription sharing
  • Simplifies API metering and infrastructure
  • Offers flexible subscription models
  • Enhances security through mutual authentication and local key generation
  • Provides easy subscription management and potential for cross-service compatibility
