Introduction

There are days when motivation feels far away — when you need a push to keep going. That’s what inspired me to build Motiva Agent, a simple AI-powered motivation agent that sends uplifting messages to brighten your day.

The idea was simple: create an agent that only gives motivation — nothing more, nothing less.

About the Project

Motiva Agent is an AI agent built using Mastra and JavaScript. Its main goal is to send motivational responses whenever a user interacts with it. Whether you’re feeling tired, unmotivated, or just need a positive message, Motiva Agent always has the right words.

Why I Built It

I’ve always believed that motivation drives creativity and progress. So, I wanted to build an AI system that helps people feel encouraged — a small but meaningful project to explore agent development using Mastra.

How It Works

The Motiva Agent runs on Mastra, a framework for creating A2A (Agent-to-Agent) systems. I used JSON-RPC for communication and built the logic using JavaScript.

Whenever a user sends a message, the agent analyzes it and responds with motivational content.

Challenges

Learning how Mastra handles A2A communication was interesting. I had to understand how agents communicate asynchronously and how to structure JSON-RPC messages properly. But once I got the hang of it, the process became smooth.

Future Plans

I’m planning to expand Motiva Agent to include:

Daily motivational reminders

Integration with Telegram or WhatsApp bots

Voice motivation mode using text-to-speech

Personalized motivational quotes based on user moods

Conclusion

Motiva Agent is a small project with a big goal — to spread motivation through technology. Using Mastra made it easy to focus on the logic while learning how agents interact in real-time.
