🍔 Introduction

When I started working on a project for McDonald’s fans in the Philippines, my main goal was to create a fast, mobile-friendly, and search-optimized menu website.
The food niche is competitive, so I wanted a platform that loads quickly, looks clean, and helps users instantly find what they’re craving.

That idea turned into McDonaldMenu.ph
— a simple, user-focused site that lists the complete McDonald’s Philippines menu, updated prices, and meal combos in one place.

⚙️ Designing for Speed and Mobile Users

Most users browse restaurant menus from their phones. That’s why page speed and mobile responsiveness were my top priorities.
I used lightweight HTML, CSS, and image optimization tools to ensure:

Pages load under 2 seconds even on slower mobile networks

Images (like burgers, fries, and desserts 🍦🍟) are compressed without losing quality

Layouts adjust seamlessly across devices using a responsive grid system

Fast-loading websites not only improve user experience, but also help boost Google search rankings.

🔍 SEO Optimization for Better Visibility

SEO was the backbone of the project. Here are the key techniques that worked well:

Proper meta titles & descriptions for every page (e.g., “McDonald’s Philippines Menu – Updated 2025 Prices”)

Structured headings (H1, H2) for menu categories like “Burgers,” “Breakfast,” and “Desserts”

Alt text on images, describing each food item (important for accessibility and Google Images)

Internal linking between related pages to reduce bounce rate and improve crawlability

These small optimizations helped the site gain better search visibility for food-related keywords in the Philippines.

 🧱 Clean, Minimal Layout

Instead of cluttering the design with heavy scripts or ads, I focused on a simple layout with intuitive navigation.
Users can jump between menu categories effortlessly and see updated prices without extra clicks.

Keeping the design minimal ensures visitors get straight to what they came for — the food.

 📈 Results and Learnings

After launch, traffic started increasing organically, especially from Google Search and social shares.
The clean structure also made it easier for search engines to index the content quickly.

This project reinforced one key lesson for me:

Even a small niche website can grow fast if you combine speed, SEO best practices, and genuine user value.

 🔗 See It Live

You can explore the full site here → McDonaldMenu.ph

It’s a great example of how thoughtful design and SEO can make even a simple menu website stand out online.
