Hello, I created a simple hospital Management System with android studio and Firebase as the backend service. The app is not as complex, but it allows login and registration of patients and doctors, booking appointments, canceling appointments(in the case of a doctor), an admin that manages users of the app, and a notification module that enables users to be notified when some action is performed by another user that may affect a given user, for example incase a doctor cancels an appointment, the patient gets notified. I have created video tutorials on how to make this app, to help anyone out there with there school project or just to kill boredom! Lol!

Tools used
Android Studio (Java + XML)
Firebase (Backend service)

Source Code
Available in GitHub.

Videos
The videos can be found in WilltekSoftwares YouTube channel.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Qua3j8mJyQ&list=PLlkSO32XQLGr8EYXYOYAjO-c0OmPIk-lc

Happy Coding!

Hello everyone, I have created a blood donation app with android studio and firebase, that has the following functionalities:

Registration of users as either donor or recipient

Login registered users and show different UI on Main screen depending on if they are registered as either donor or recipient

Saving and retrieving user data and actions from firebase database.

Sending emails directly from an android app without requiring intents of use of the Gmail app.

Notifications module.

App displays Animations on the splash screen.

App offers easy navigation and beautiful UI.

I have created YouTube videos where I direct coders on how to make this app, you can find the videos here https://youtu.be/i-Gczh0SN1o

I Created A Fully Responsive Portfolio Website using WordPress

I have always wanted to create a portfolio website, to show who I am, my skills, interests and some of the projects I have worked on before to my potential clients.

I realized that having a portfolio website has many advantages, as it helps you to show your creativity, helps your potential clients to visualize working with you and most importantly, it improves your chances of wining the job.

I therefore decided to create my own portfolio website using WordPress, mostly because WordPress makes it easy to manage my content, offers great responsiveness and helps in Search Engine Optimization.

I would like to hear what your thoughts are concerning this website, what I should improve on, what I should remove or what amazes you.

Here's a link to my portfolio website--> http://willteksoftwares.co.ke/

Lastly, Kindly help me get to 2k subs on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCynEkLz6K_BJbI41AAcMg-w

Developing a Personal Budgeting App Using Android Studio & Firebase.

Hello coders! A study has shown that less than 45% of people around the globe are financially literate. Managing our finaces is not as easy as we may think, as many people spend their money on things that are not important, while neglecting important ones.. Due to that, I have decided to create a personal budgeting application, that allows users to set a monthly budget of various items. Users then record their expenses every time they spend on something, say buying food from a restaurant. Users will record their expenditure, every time they spend on something. The application uploads that information into the firebase realtime database, and retrives it to the user, on daily, weekly and monthly basis. The app then provides analytics of user's expenditure, also on daily, weekly and monthly expenditure, showing the total expenditure on each item, and the percentage of that as compared to what was set on the budget. The application also places this information on a pie chart, to give the user a nice graphical representation of their expenditure. Finally, the application set flags, of red, brown and green, depending on the percentage of the expenditure to the set budget of every item and also the total monthly budget. If the expenditure is less than 50%, a flag of green is set, else if the expenditure is between 50% and 99%, a flag of brown is set. A flag of red is set when the expenditure is 100% of the budget or more.

What you will learn.

XML - using xml to create beautiful UIs that offer excellent user experience.

Java programming language.

Firebase.

Graphical data representation in android.
And many more.

Check out the ongoing coding series here! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_gqxdPeWpts

Daily spend tracker android app.

Hello, I have developed a simple android application to help in tracking our money usage in our day to day life.
I developed the application using android studio and Firebase, where users can log in using their google account to access the main page of the app.
Every time a person spends on something, lets say transport or food, they can use the app to record that expenditure, by selecting the item they have spent on, the amount they have spent, and a small note to describe their expenditure.
The app then saves that information in the firebase real-time database.
The total amount spent is fetched and displayed in the app by use of a text view, and this amount is updated everytime a user adds another item.
Finally, at the end of the day, a user will be able to see the total amount of money they have spent, and all the items they have spent their money on. At the beginning of the next day, the user will be presented with an empty screen, where he/she can record that day's spendings.
Here's the link to my YouTube channel, where I have described in more details. Am going to make tutorials, to help other developers be able to make an app like this too!
Thank you.
