The XRPL Accelerator has officially launched its seventh cohort in partnership with Tenity. Over the next two months, these fourteen start-ups will collaborate with Ripple and Tenity to develop a proof of concept, culminating in a live pitch to a panel of judges at Demo Day this November. Every start-up in the accelerator program will leverage the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to help transform the way businesses access capital, engage in trade, and navigate cross-border complexities. The XRPL Accelerator recently concluded a milestone Demo Day in collaboration with the DIFC Innovation Hub, held during the Dubai FinTech Summit, bringing together global fintech leaders, investors, and regulators in the heart of the UAE.

XRPL Accelerator - Scale: Igniting Blockchain Innovation in Dubai

And that’s a wrap! The XRP Ledger (XRPL) Accelerator’s Scale Program, hosted by the XRPL Accelerator’s partner, the DIFC Innovation Hub, concluded in November 2024, culminating in a Demo Day where each of the startups – Palisade, Propto, Alt DRX, VNX, and Gen3 Games – presented their use case on leveraging the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

Held in the heart of Dubai, Demo Day 2024 was an awesome opportunity for each startup to feature their use-cases and technologies built and showcased on the XRP Ledger. Demo Day attracted a diverse audience of 250+ investors, industry leaders, and enthusiasts, with Scale participants and attendees alike being able to interact and learn more from one another.

One of the highlights of the Scale Program was being able to directly hear from and interact with key regulators from both the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). DFSA, the financial regulatory agency of the DIFC, which is classified as a special economic zone, along with VARA, the authority responsible for regulating and overseeing virtual assets in and from the emirate of Dubai, were able to give key speaker sessions to participants in the Scale Program.

Reece Merrick, Ripple Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, highlighted how the XRPL Accelerator and the DIFC Innovation Hub offers the unique chance for businesses to have support from their inception, with these startups “coming to work in an ecosystem where they get the support and introductions that they need,” enabling them to thrive. “We want to support the ecosystem, and really, what that comes down to is educating and allowing businesses to understand what the benefits are for utilizing digital assets in their flow,” Reece went on to further state. The XRPL Accelerator is proud to announce the latest Scale Program cohort. These five pioneering startups – Palisade, Propto, Alt DRX, VNX, and Zerpmon – are leveraging the XRP Ledger (XRPL) across several different use cases including real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, stablecoins, infrastructure, and gaming.

Having successfully navigated the prerequisite XRPL Accelerator - Launch Program, each team will receive valuable mentorship, hone their go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and validate their product-market fit. In addition to programmatic resources, each team will be awarded a grant to kick-start their process of raising funds from investors. The biggest ambition of the program is for the participants to scale their business to a wider audience and garner equity-bearing investments.

The culmination of the Scale Program will be a Demo Day in November 2024, held in the heart of Dubai. This exclusive event hosted by the XRPL Accelerator's partner, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Innovation Hub, will provide the perfect platform for these startups to showcase their innovative solutions to a global audience of investors, industry leaders, and potential partners.

The participating companies include:

Palisade: Palisade is a multi-chain custody platform paired with a non-custodial mobile app intended as a day-to-day wallet. Palisade provides development teams and retail users with an affordable way to store, issue and manage their digital assets.

Propto: Propto, a decentralized exchange and tokenization platform, enables commercial property owners to fractionalize and list their assets on-chain. Propto allows investors with a small amount of capital to participate in the commercial real estate market. Propto's tokenization and trading functionalities utilize the XRPL's native features to facilitate real estate token transactions.

Alt DRX: ALT.SQFT offers a unique approach to real estate investment by tokenizing square footage into tradeable digital assets called Property Tokens, which represent a proportional financial value in a specific property managed by a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). Investors can buy and sell these tokens on the Alt DRX Platform, allowing for dynamic market participation and liquidity in real estate investments. ALT.SQFT tokens offer the potential for income through interest payments and profit from property sales. Additionally, ALT.SQFT tokens also enable investors to engage in a transparent, efficient real estate market, receiving regular updates on valuation and the opportunity to trade at market-driven prices.

VNX: VNX Commodities is Europe's first regulated tokenization platform and stablecoin issuer. As part of our commitment to fostering innovation and development on the XRP Ledger, we have chosen a diverse group of pioneering projects that are set to revolutionize various sectors through the power of blockchain technology. With over 150 applications received, project focuses range from DeFi, DID, Infra, RWA and even verifiable credentials. Investors can buy and sell these tokens on the Alt DRX Platform, allowing for dynamic market participation and liquidity in real estate investments. ALT.SQFT tokens offer the potential for income through interest payments and profit from property sales, but they also enable investors to engage in a transparent, efficient real estate market, receiving regular updates on valuation and the opportunity to trade at market-driven prices.

Moai Finance
Moai Finance is developing a multi-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) and cross-chain DEX aggregator to improve asset liquidity and utility within the XRP Ledger (XRPL) community. Their flagship product is an automated market maker (AMM)-based decentralized protocol that enables seamless swapping between assets on different blockchains. They want to expand their product to support XRPL Mainnet and XRPL EVM sidechain to simplify the liquidity provision and asset swap mechanisms for users.

Propto

The product allows investors with a small amount of capital to participate in the commercial real estate market. MC² Finance
MC² Finance is revolutionizing the digital asset fund marketplace with its advanced infrastructure and application layer, designed to support a thriving multi-sided marketplace. Kodelab
The Kodelab HELOC offers instant access to flexible credit/liquidity secured against properties or other illiquid assets via public and private blockchains, in the form of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) or stablecoin. Users can draw down and repay funds up to a certain Loan-to-Value (LTV), empowering and providing users with flexible credit options. The accompanying tokenization stack, formed from some ‘world-first’ legal engineering developed in conjunction with DLA Piper and Truva Corp, allows for the on-chain NFT collateral to be composed of actual property ownership rights or mortgage rights, boosting security for lenders, whilst borrowers are left with simplified and enhanced accessibility to revolving credit compared to traditional fixed-term loans.

Ryzer
Ryzer is a fintech startup that aims to revolutionize real estate investment through tokenization. They offer a platform for fractional ownership of real estate, allowing users to invest small amounts, benefit from simplified processes, and achieve greater liquidity and diversification. Ryzer provides a tokenized platform where users can buy, sell, hold, stake, lend, and borrow against real estate assets, in order to enhance the ease and flexibility of real estate investments.

XPMarket
XPmarket is designing a user-centric community to unleash the full potential of the XRP Ledger. On-chain data paired with big data analysis are wrapped into a user-friendly environment, allowing a detailed overview of the XRPL community. A wide range of key infrastructure elements are being directly integrated into XPmarket that are both familiar for a novice blockchain user and advanced enough for the most sophisticated members. As a result, XPmarket aims to put all of the XRPL's capabilities at the community's fingertip.

Zoth
Zoth introduces an institutional-grade fixed income marketplace, facilitating unprecedented access to a diverse range of high-yield, secure fixed income opportunities using stablecoins. The XRPL Accelerator, a program dedicated to nurturing innovation and development on the XRP Ledger, is back with its second cohort of groundbreaking projects. After the success of the inaugural cohort, the Accelerator continues to support entrepreneurs and builders looking to scale their projects on the XRP Ledger.

The XRPL Accelerator is tailored toward helping entrepreneurs building on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) scale and succeed. Following a rigorous selection process, 11 exciting projects were chosen to participate in the 12-week program, dedicated to supporting and empowering builders on the XRP Ledger. CornerMarket offered the audience a view into its remarkable journey of international growth, surpassing the milestone of 1,000 users in both the United States and Colombia. The team’s platform is aiming to transform the way businesses transact on the XRPL.

GemWallet provided insights into its unique approach to developer tooling. They’re determined to stand out in a competitive landscape by offering innovative solutions and unmatched user experience.
