Hi , Welcome Again!

It All Started....Few days back
When I felt that I am losing my consistency.

At some point when you realize that you are declining in your performance.

You Procrastinate
Admire for a long break from things.
Taking breaks too often.

Always remember this quote from Bruce Lee- I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times..
Its very very necessary to HAVE CONSISTENCY. Without consistency - No EXAM , No Code , No Work can be achieved.

How to Work Consistently?

Now the questions arises- How to Work Consistently?

Step-1
Remember, Whenever you start feeling any of the above indications-
start analyzing what could be the most defensible reasons for such decline?

Saturation Point? - Either you are doing the same thing for a much longer period.
Working without any progress?
Taking no day off? 4.** Not spending adequate time on managing time**?
Toxic peers?
Not accomplishing targets?

Step-2
Your body needs a balance to work efficiently. Plan Your day in such a way that it contains, sufficient time for joy, and health activities - despite of hectic schedule. You must allocate a holiday once in a week for yourself.

Step-3
Make daily short achievable goals, don't plan for a month in advance. Complete those Goals - strikethrough the completed task in your diary

Step-4
Create your own environment, Add the people who have same mentality like you, they should be motivated and focused.

How To Comeback ! for coding After A Long Break?

Hi !
It Do Happens to the most of us. If we take a break from programming then things gets pretty difficult for us.

1 took a One Month Gap from programming due to College Exams and Health Issues. Yesterday I wasn’t be able to solve a direct Binary Search Problem on Leetcode 😦

Even the experts 😛 recommend us , that coding is like a sporting practice which we must do everyday. If we miss out someday then our overall performance would get affected.

Rule #1- Give yourself 1 complete day for revising your completed topics. Making the Notes is a good practice. Even I make notes 😝 they are the bunch of good DSA problems which kickstarts my brain functionality. ( give yourself 3-4 hours)
Rule #2- Start from the easy problems, so that you can get adapted to the pace. Also it will boost your morale. ( give yourself 1 complete Day)
Rules #3 Don’t Go Too Slow in solving the questions- It will cause trouble 😵‍💫
instead watch video solutions , it will click your remembrance

After day-2 You will feel confident in coding , and BOOM! 💥 you have made a comeback.
You Can again Start from the topic , where you left before the break.

Hi,
Hope you are doing well 🙂.
I began coding in my 2nd year of my engineering.

I was not at all consistent 😔 in the initial phase.

Later on I realised that , if you aspire for a good product based company and a 💰 secure career, then you have to do programming 🖥️ DSA.

Things to keep in mind before stepping into competitive programming

Competitive programming is a sporting activity, don't judge yourself just belive in consistency
Find a DSA Community Birds of the same feathers flock together. Don't find critics just find a good mate
Stuck at 1 platform only. We usually make multiple IDs on platforms but that's very damaging thing. You give focus on one platform
Never miss any competition every single day count
STL, Greedy , DP are most asked so focus on mastering them.
It's okay to discuss with your peers during the competition it gives you better learning experience
*Practice from Geeks for Geek and Codeforces A2OJ *. Make a daily habit of practice
Watch video solution after each contest

Preparation Tips

Thorough knowledge of any programming language, especially the ones you intend to use to win the competition. Problems are NP - Hard, Basic knowledge of coding wont work :(
You can also look and try to solve the problems from past editions of the competitions to give you a better overview of the competition.
Networking is important between teammates. You can enter into healthy competitions with your teammates to enhance your programming skills.
Since your solution should not be exact , but scores are given on the basis of how accurate your code is.
Work your ass off until the last second. Every solution is graded, but you only get points for the best one.

Virtual Hub?

Virtual hubs are meetups organised by the participants so that the participants of the same colleges, universities, offices, can meet up virtually and compete as one team for the Online Qualifications.

There are Different strategies

1) Either you can Finish the entire syllabus once and then move to detailed practice questions. On Leetcode and A2OJ. Side by side sharpen your DSA skills by giving Short contests on Codeforces and Long Contests on Codechef

2) Or you can got to Codechef DSA Learning Series and my favorite A2OJ. Pick Questions topic wise and try solving. You will come across new concepts at every new question and then you can learn them as well.
