As developers, hum task automation aur digital workflows pe trust rakhte hain — but jab baat monthly utility bills ki ho, to tracking, due dates aur record management kabhi kabhi manual effort demand karta hai.
Recently I started experimenting with online electricity bill tracking (FESCO case) to maintain a clean record of payments without relying on paper bills or physical copies. My goal was simple:
retrieve → store → track, all digitally.
Why this caught my attention
Manual bills get misplaced
Due date reminders often miss ho jate hain
Old bills trace karna time-taking ho sakta hai
Users search for quick duplicate bill fetching methods frequently
Is liye main ne try kiya ke bill inquiry ko workflow ki tarah treat karun — jese hum API fetch, reference lookup, ya simple automation scripts handle karte hain.
What I learned while testing online bill check flow
A 14-digit reference works like a unique identifier (similar to record key)
Live bill view instantly generate hoti hai
Duplicate bill PDF download is possible without office visit
Records can be organized inside a notes app or Notion/Evernote style docs
(Thinking to build a small system where bills auto-saved ho sakein for monthly logs — suggestions welcome.)
Discussion for the Dev Community
I’m exploring how we can
convert utility billing into an automated workflow,
maybe using reminders, scripts, or a small dashboard for tracking consumption.
While exploring different approaches for automated bill management, I also tested a live bill lookup workflow using an online electricity bill checker platform, such as fescoebillcheck.pk.
It helped in:
• Quickly fetching duplicate bills using the 14-digit reference number
• Viewing current month charges and due date without login
• Easy export/print for digital record storage
• Useful if someone wants to sync bills into Notion/Evernote for tracking
Next I’m planning to integrate it with reminders or a small script where bill PDFs auto-save monthly (so no manual checking needed). If anyone here has done something similar with automation or scraping — your input would be great.
If someone has worked on:
automation for recurring bills
scraping/notification system
personal finance tracking setup
integrations for document storage
your feedback will be valuable.
Main improvement ideas collect kar rahi hoon. Discussion open for workflows, tech stack suggestions & practical approaches.
