How to create a developer presence in #Twitter

Hello fellow developers. I'm kind of a guy who got into the internet when Facebook started booming. And for social media presence, I preferred Facebook since all my friends were in it. And since then I didn't try any other platforms much.

I just create my common handle on all sites to avoid regretting about it later.

One of the main way to keep track of Dev.to itself is through facebook.

But after the facebook's whole privacy issue came out, I planned to get rid of facebook and settle for decent social media platform. And I chose twitter since many developers are in it and it can funnel me towards programming regime and not funny cat videos.

The Problem: I created a twitter account and started following few people. But its like my Following numbers are higher than my followers. I really don't get this concept. How do developers create a presence for them in Twitter?

I have a feeling like my Twitter Handle is somewhere in a graph with lowest possible node weight which rarely gets any action to begin interaction with it (aka dead node).

P.S: I know this question might be elementary or Stupid one. But A true stupid one is the question which was left unasked. Hence asked.

Suggestion for a Good Developer Laptop at 2019

Hello to all fellow Developers. I currently own an AMD 8350 Octa Core Processor(8 Logical cores, Not physical) desktop machine with 16 Gigs RAM, SSD and HDD Storage. I built this machine during my college days (back when I was fond of Rigs and building a machine rather than a laptop). I had a laptop during college time too but that's just for presentation and light coding.

Now after working with the Macbook Pro (The one my company gave me for work) for more than an year, I'm now becoming sluggish to sit in front of my desktop machine.

But my company's T&C made it very clear that I should not use the device for any of my personal development.

I'm currently more interested in React Native and concentrating more on creating mobile apps. My experience with AMD was horrible when trying to start an Android Emulator. And most importantly I can't afford a Macbook Pro at this moment. (Way overpriced).

Can anyone suggest me a good laptop that can suit my needs? (also doesn't put a hole in my pockets too).

Thanks.

A Software Developer way to Propose

A Software Engineer way to Propose:

I'm a singleton and you are my Single instance Object. My Love for you is always Immutable. Even though there may exists few mutable variables within me, I'll clone them away for anyone asking it, so that none can change anything about you. If we have differences in opinions, lets implement an adapter between us.

I'll be the Finally block for anything you try. You should catch the unchecked exception that you'll encounter. Log it or solve it is up to you, But No matter you succeed or fail, I'll be there behind you and even if you mess it up, I'll be there to return you back to execution.

Let us not extend one from other. Whats there to live when we simply extend everything apart from their private from others? Rather lets live the life by implementing the good things as Interfaces in our life. Let's write our own definitions on how we want to live. You write yours and I write mine. But we both can be instantiated by any of the interfaces this world may call us with.

The place I gave for you in my heart is a Strong Reference. I'll hold on to you so that the GarbageCollector (Time) can never free you up from me.

You can make me a Promise and it's up to you to keep it.

But When I make you a promise you should wait to see if I honor it in the Future.

Forever your static final Variable,
Ritchie Einstein.

Hello Everyone. This is my first post. So kindly bear with me. I've programming for so many years. Most of them are mostly concentrated on learning languages and projects just to make professors happy in college. I always dream contributing myself to the open source community. But frankly I don't know where to start.

I have close to an year of experience in developing enterprise application (That's my current full time job). Is that enough to qualify me to begin my contributions?

Would you suggest starting my contributions on fairly new projects or well established ones?
