I built an SEO tool because founders hate marketing

Most founders I know hate marketing.
They love building products.
They love solving problems.
But when it comes to SEO, content, and growth… it suddenly feels like a completely different job.
I realized this when I started building my own SaaS products.
Every time I launched something, I faced the same problem:
I had no traffic
No one discovered the product
And SEO felt overwhelming
Most SEO tools are designed for marketers, not builders.
They assume you already understand:
keyword clusters
backlink strategies
technical audits
content funnels
But many indie hackers just want a simple answer:
What should I build or write so people can find my product?
That question is what led me to start building Rankswift.pro
The problem I wanted to solve
I didn’t want another complicated SEO dashboard.
I wanted something simpler:
Find opportunities competitors are missing
Discover content ideas that actually rank
Understand how products get discovered in search and AI answers
Instead of giving founders hundreds of metrics, the goal is to focus on actionable insights.
Why this matters for indie hackers
Distribution is the hardest part of building products.
You can ship the best SaaS in the world, but if nobody finds it, it doesn’t matter.
SEO is still one of the most powerful channels for:
SaaS founders
indie hackers
developers launching side projects
But it needs tools designed for builders, not just marketers.
What I’m working on now
I’m currently building Rankswift, a tool focused on helping founders discover SEO opportunities faster.
It’s still early, and I’m learning every day.
If you’re building something and struggling with distribution, I’d love to hear:
How do you approach SEO as a developer?
