The sample you approved looks nothing like what customers receive. Half the orders show 'fulfilled' in Shopify but are sitting unprocessed in Printful. Someone tweets that their hoodie shrank two sizes in the wash. You spend the next week in your DMs instead of planning the next drop.&lt;br&gt;
This is not a rare horror story. It is the standard first-drop experience for founders who focused entirely on the creative side and assumed the operational side would figure itself out. It doesn't. Here is what actually goes wrong - and what the brands that survive do differently.&lt;/p&gt;

When you print multiple designs onto the same hoodie blank, Shopify tracks each design-size combination as a separate SKU. It has no concept that they all draw from the same physical stock.
