Coming back to coding after years of a break

As the title states, I took a very long break from learning to code do to getting a full time job (not coding related) I'm coming back now as I realize learning to code is something I've been interested in since I first heard about it. Any tips or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated (also any resources to help with my learning) as I get back into my learning journey.(I'm currently learning PHP)

What languages are most commonly used for GUI development?

I'm interested in learning more about GUI as every program I have ever made has been in the terminal/command line. Where would you recommend a person interested in GUI development to start? Like always thank you all in advance 😁

I was recently looking at some code I wrote a few months ago and realized that I haven't really improved much, I feel in every language that I'm familiar with I'm at about the same skill level.

Anyway my question is, Is it better to be well versed in many languages or is it better to know 1 or 2 languages very well? Thank you all in advance! 😁

JavaScript or TypeScript first?

I have some JavaScript knowledge and lately I’ve been seeing a lot of talk about TypeScript and how amazing it is(I’ve never used it so I’m not sure) is it something I should learn before or after JavaScript? Or do I even really need to learn it
(I would like to do web development)

I’ve noticed online a lot of times when someone asks a question about php or if they should learn php it’s always met with no or why would you learn that, I’m curious why that is.

Weird state of being lost

I’m in this super weird state of being lost, I know HTML and CSS very well and before I learned those I learned Python yet for some reason I can’t seem to make myself use JavaScript, I understand the logic I just get confused when working with DOM.
Not really sure what to do at this stage.
