Built an interactive tech radar tool

My team and I wanted to create a tech radar to visualize our technology choices and adoption strategies, but I couldn't find an interactive web app that let us collaboratively build and share our tech radar easily. So, after searching around for a while, I eventually decided to make one!

https://techradars.app

Give it a go if you're interested! It's free, and hopefully easy to use.

 What it does

The app makes it simple to:

Create visual tech radars that map out your technology landscape

Collaborate with your team in real-time to make technology decisions

Access a tech library with pre-populated technologies (which I'm actively maintaining and expanding)

The built-in tech library is something I'm particularly focused on growing. It includes common frameworks, languages, tools, and platforms so you don't have to start from scratch every time.

I'd love to hear your feedback and what sort of tools you're currently using for visualizing your tech stack!

Live reload setup

So for most of my projects I have a watch script such as
npm run watch
to auto compile less/sass, but I haven't got anything setup yet to reflect these changes in the browser without a page refresh.

Would love to hear some recommendations on what other devs out there are using for their setup?

Cheers in advance!

Demo

For any newbies out there, this is a great coding exercise to learn the basics of game development and how JavaScript ES6 classes can be used for more object oriented programming.

Thought I'd share!

Best approach to advertising yourself as a freelance developer?

I’ve recently discovered that Fiverr takes 20% of your earnings as a seller which is a lot in my opinion, and it’s got me thinking about the best way to advertise as a freelance developer and build a client base.

Interested to find out how other devs are approaching freelance work…

Are you using a platform? If so, which one(s)? If not, what methods are you using to reach clients?

How necessary is to prefix css that’s not fully supported by older browsers?

Using flex as an example, I’ve come across well established sites where this isn’t prefixed at all, and others where almost every browser prefix is included.

I’m curious to get the opinion of other frontend developers on how they approach vendor prefixes?
