Hey. I’m rebooting a podcast about small SaaS businesses and side-projects, and am looking for guests to talk tech. If you’re working on an online product or you’re growing a side-project, please get in touch.

I’m a Django developer, and I run a podcast hosting company called Podiant. I had a podcast chronicling the development of the service — called /Platform/ — but I’m now looking to start a new season, interviewing people who are in similar situations.

It wouldn’t necessarily be a great place to pimp your startup — unless you’re providing tools to other SaaS developers — but if you want to compare notes, or share things you’ve learned or challenges you’ve faced, I’d love to talk. I’m based in the UK but we’ll be able to figure out timezone stuff fairly easily. My plan is to release regularly so have a bunch of banked episodes.

If you can drop me a message with a bit about your project, and your email address, that’d be great.

Thanks so much!

Unit testing, Docker and Django -- a podcast episode

This is a sneak peak at the next episode of my product development podcast, Platform. It originally existed to chart the development of my product, and morphed into discussions on podcasting in general. Now I'm rebooting it to focus specifically on the tech involved in building a web product, without the benefit of VC funding or incubators.

If you're interested in the show, you can get the RSS feed at http://feeds.podiant.co/platform/rss.xml or find it in your favourite podcast app.

In the episode I talk about my adventures in migrating a fairly large app from running inside Vagrant and VirtualBox to running in Docker, and share my thoughts on unit testing and the -- to my mind -- unhelpful rhetoric around it.

The episode will go out on Sunday 4th, and I've got a few topics lined up for the next one, but would love your feedback.

Thanks!
