Do you have an interest in learning how JavaScript APIs work and how they can be used to create something interesting? If so, you're in the right place. I'd love to guide you through the process of building a news search website using JavaScript APIs, step by step. Let's get started!

Complete Video Projects With Step by Step Explanations:

Understanding JavaScript APIs:
Before we start building our news search website, let's take a moment to understand what JavaScript APIs are. In simple terms, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) are tools that allow different software applications to communicate with each other. In the context of our project, we'll be using APIs to fetch news data from external sources and display it on our website.

Choosing the Right API:
The first step in creating our news search website is choosing the right API to fetch news data. There are several popular options available, such as the New York Times API, the Guardian API, and the NewsAPI. Consider factors like data coverage, reliability, and ease of use when making your decision.

Setting Up Your Development Environment:
Once you've chosen an API, it's time to set up your development environment. You'll need a code editor (like Visual Studio Code), a web browser, and a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Don't worry if you're new to coding – building a news search website is an excellent way to learn!

Fetching News Data:
With your development environment in place, it's time to start fetching news data from your chosen API. This typically involves sending HTTP requests to the API endpoint and parsing the JSON response. Most APIs provide documentation and code examples to help you get started.

Displaying News Headlines:
Once you've successfully fetched news data, it's time to display it on your website. You can use HTML and CSS to create a simple user interface, and JavaScript to dynamically populate the page with news headlines. Consider using a responsive design to ensure your website looks great on all devices.

Adding Search Functionality:
No news search website would be complete without a search feature. You can use JavaScript to add search functionality to your website, allowing users to search for specific keywords or topics and filter the displayed news headlines accordingly.

Enhancing User Experience:
To make your news search website more engaging, consider adding additional features like pagination, category filters, and thumbnail images for each news article. You can also experiment with different design elements to create a visually appealing user interface.

Testing and Deployment:
Before launching your news search website, be sure to test it thoroughly for bugs and usability issues. Once you're satisfied with the results, you can deploy your website to a web hosting service (such as GitHub Pages or Netlify) and share it with the world!

Conclusion: Congratulations – you've successfully built your news search website using JavaScript APIs! By following the steps outlined in this article, you've gained valuable hands-on experience with web development and created a useful tool for staying informed about current events. Whether you're a seasoned developer or just starting out, building projects like this is an excellent way to sharpen your skills and make a positive impact in the digital world. Happy coding!

Here is another API Project for you. Build a image search app with JavaScript API.

How to create a portfolio website using HTML CSS Bootstrap?

To create a website using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, you can follow these steps:

Set up your development environment: Install a text editor, such as Sublime Text or Atom, and a web browser, such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Create an HTML file: Use your text editor to create an HTML file and save it with a .html extension. This will be the main file for your website.

Add the HTML structure: Use HTML tags to create the basic structure of your website, including the head and body sections. In the head section, you can include information such as the title of your website and links to any external CSS or JavaScript files.

Add content: Use HTML tags to add content to your website, such as headings, paragraphs, lists, images, and links.

Add styling: Use CSS to add styling to your website, such as colors, fonts, and layout. You can include your CSS in an external stylesheet or in a style element in the head of your HTML file.

Add Bootstrap: Include the Bootstrap CSS file in the head of your HTML file, either by linking to a CDN or by downloading and hosting the file locally. You can then use Bootstrap classes and elements to add responsive layout and styling to your website.

Test and debug: Test your website in different web browsers and devices to ensure that it is working as intended and fixing any issues that you encounter.

After all, creating a website using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap requires a combination of HTML and CSS skills to create the structure and content of the website, and Bootstrap skills to add responsive layout and styling. By following these steps and experimenting with different techniques and approaches, you can create a functional and visually appealing website using these technologies.

 Why Adding Bootstrap?

In addition to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, using Bootstrap can also be a helpful way to create an e-commerce website. Bootstrap is a front-end framework that provides pre-designed HTML, CSS, and JavaScript components that can be used to create responsive, mobile-first websites.

Some of the things you might learn by using Bootstrap to create an e-commerce website include:

Responsive design: Bootstrap is designed to be responsive, which means that it adjusts the layout and styling of a website to provide an optimal viewing experience on a wide range of devices, from small smartphones to large desktop monitors. By using Bootstrap, you can learn how to create websites that look and function well on different devices and screen sizes.

Pre-designed components: Bootstrap includes a wide range of pre-designed components, such as buttons, forms, navbars, and grids, that can be easily added to your website using HTML and CSS classes. By using these components, you can save time and effort in creating the layout and styling of your website.

JavaScript plugins: Bootstrap also includes a number of JavaScript plugins that can be used to add interactive features to your website, such as modals, tabs, and carousels. By using these plugins, you can add interactive elements to your website without having to write custom JavaScript code.

In conclusion, using Bootstrap can be a helpful way to create an e-commerce website by providing pre-designed components and tools that can save time and effort in the development process.

 Project Sections

Home

About

Service

Contact

Footer

Why Should You Learn React Js in 2023?

React is a popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces, and it is likely to remain in demand in the coming years. However, it is difficult to predict exactly what the future will hold for any given technology.

In general, it is a good idea to keep up with the latest developments in the field and to continuously learn new skills. This can help you stay competitive in the job market and ensure that you are equipped to take on new challenges.

That being said, it is important to consider your own goals and interests when deciding which technologies to learn. If you are interested in front-end web development and have a strong foundation in JavaScript, learning React might be a good choice for you. On the other hand, if your goals or interests lie elsewhere, it might make more sense to focus on a different technology.

Get 200+ Hours of Free Courses(Certificate).

Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to learn React (or any other technology) in 2023 will depend on your specific circumstances and goals.

Advantages and Disadvantages of react js

 Advantages:

React is a popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces, and it has several advantages:

Reusable components: React allows you to build reusable components that can be easily shared and reused throughout your application. This makes it easier to maintain and update your code over time.

Virtual DOM: React uses a virtual DOM (Document Object Model) to optimize updates to the actual DOM. This means that instead of updating the DOM directly, React creates a virtual representation of the DOM and only updates the parts that have changed. This can improve the performance of your application, especially if you have a large or complex user interface.

Server-side rendering: React can be used to render applications on the server side as well as the client side, which can improve the performance and SEO of your application.

Strong community: React has a large and active community of developers, which means that there are many resources available for learning and getting help when you’re stuck.

Wide adoption: React is used by many well-known companies, including Facebook, Instagram, and Airbnb, which means that it is widely supported and has a strong track record of success.

Overall, React can be a powerful tool for building modern, interactive user interfaces, and it offers a number of advantages that make it a popular choice for many developers.

 Disadvantages:

React is a popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces, and it has several advantages. However, like any technology, it also has some potential disadvantages:

Complexity: React can be complex to learn, especially for developers who are new to front-end web development or are not familiar with the concepts of the virtual DOM.

Steep learning curve: React’s syntax and concepts can be difficult to understand, especially for developers who are new to the library. It can take some time to become proficient with React, and this can be a challenge for developers who are trying to learn the library quickly.

Large library size: React is a relatively large library, and it can take longer to download and load than smaller libraries. This can be a disadvantage for applications that need to be lightweight and perform well on slower internet connections.

Limited capabilities: React is primarily focused on building user interfaces, and it may not be the best choice for applications that require more complex logic or functionality. In these cases, a more full-featured framework like Angular or Vue.js might be a better choice.

Overall, React is a powerful tool for building user interfaces, but it is not without its drawbacks. It’s important to carefully consider the strengths and limitations of React (and any other technology) when deciding whether or not it is the right choice for your project.

Yearly salary of a react js developer

The yearly salary of a React developer can vary widely depending on a number of factors, including the developer’s level of experience, location, and specific job role. According to data from Glassdoor, the median yearly salary for a React developer in the United States is $116,000 per year. However, this number can be higher or lower depending on the factors mentioned above.

For example, a more experienced React developer with advanced skills and a strong track record of success may command a higher salary than a newer developer with less experience. Similarly, the cost of living in different areas can also impact salary expectations. A developer working in a city with a higher cost of living may expect to earn more than a developer working in a city with a lower cost of living.

It’s also worth noting that React developers often work in a variety of job roles, and the salary for a particular role can vary. For example, a React developer working as a full-time employee for a company might have a different salary than a React developer working as a freelance contractor.

Overall, the yearly salary of a React developer can vary widely, and it’s important to consider all of these factors when determining what to expect.

 Final conclusion about react js

React is a popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces, and it is widely used by developers around the world. It has a number of advantages, including reusable components, a virtual DOM, server-side rendering, a strong community, and wide adoption.

However, React is not without its limitations, and it may not be the best choice for every project. It can be complex to learn, and its syntax and concepts can be difficult for developers who are new to the library. Additionally, React is a relatively large library, and it may not be the best choice for applications that need to be lightweight or perform well on slower internet connections.

Overall, React is a powerful tool for building modern, interactive user interfaces, and it has a strong track record of success. However, it is important to carefully consider the strengths and limitations of React (and any other technology) when deciding whether or not it is the right choice for your project.

There are many programming languages to choose from, and the one that is best for you to learn first will depend on your goals and interests. Here are a few things to consider when choosing a programming language to learn:

What do you want to do with programming? Different programming languages are suitable for different tasks. For example, if you want to build web applications, you might want to start with a language like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. If you want to do data analysis, you might want to start with a language like Python.

What is the community like for the language? A large and active community can be a great resource for learning and getting help when you’re stuck.

What resources are available for learning the language? There are many resources available for learning programming, including books, online courses, and videos. Some languages have more resources available than others.

Overall, Python is a good language to start with because it is relatively easy to learn and has a large and active community. Other popular languages for beginners include Java and C++.

 Short Answer:

“What is the best programming language for beginners to learn first? Are you a newcomer to the world of coding and wondering where to start?

To start freelancing while you already have a full-time job, you’ll have to consider the following steps:

How to start freelancing (even when working full-time)?

Define your business goals.

Find a perspective niche (and stick to it)

Identify target clients.

Set your freelance rates.

Create a website (and portfolio)

Find your first client.

Expand your network.

Balance your full-time job with your part-time freelancing side gigs.

 Define your business goals

Before you start freelancing, you’ll have to be honest with yourself, and answer an important question:

Is freelancing just a side gig? Or do you plan to expand it to a full-time business?

The answer to this question will determine your next steps, considering that you’ll either aim to balance your full-time and freelance work, OR aim to work your way out of your current job to pursue a full-time freelance career.

The answer to this question is your long-term goal. To pursue it, you’ll have to set a number of short-term goals and answer questions such as:

What niche will you specialize in?

What services will you offer?

What amount do you want to be earning on a monthly basis to decide to quit your full-time job (if applicable)?

Find a perspective niche (and stick to it)

No matter whether you’re a graphic designer, copywriter, developer, or anything in between by vocation, it’d be best if you were to specialize in a particular area of work:

For example, If you’re a content writer, don’t aim to write about any topic under the sun, from Top 3 Ways to Prepare Your Garden for Spring to Taxation Laws in all 50 US States Explained.

Sure, you may start by writing various topics, to find your ideal niche, but eventually, you should pick one, and stick to it.

But, Cryptocurrency or Technology content writer always sound much better in your CV than General content writer. Moreover, they inspire more confidence in you on the part of the clients who’ll always be looking for specific, and not general content.

The same is true if you’re a graphic designer:

consider your level of experience

your current pool of connections

your natural inclinations to a particular design niche

Then, make your pick — focus on delivering interface design for apps, creating new custom logos, devising layouts for books, or any other specific design work.

 Identify target clients

Just like you shouldn’t aim to cover every niche in your industry, you shouldn’t aim to cater to the needs of the entire industry’s market.

Small businesses, teams, remote workers, or even other freelancers may all require the same type of service you’re looking to offer. But, you’ll need to target one or two types of clients especially.

Say you want to start a blog about everything related to working remotely. There are freelancers, teams, but also entire businesses working remotely, and they can serve as your starting point.

Think about the age of your desired readers. Perhaps you’re a Millennial, so you can write a blog about working remotely for Millennials?

Think about the location. Perhaps you want to cover predominantly the US market?

Think about the education level. Perhaps you want to cover newly independent remote workers, who’re just starting out their careers?

Think about income. Perhaps you’re looking to write for people with a limited budget, but who want to try digital nomadism?

Think about gender. Perhaps you want to predominantly target women freelancers?

These are only some questions you should ask yourself, but they reveal a lot. For example, that you can write for fresh-out-of-college female Millennials from the US looking to start and cultivate a remote career while traveling abroad with a limited budget.

 Set your freelance rates

Setting your freelance rates always seems like a challenging point, but it’s a lot more straightforward when you list the necessary parameters that help determine your ideal (and realistic) pricing:

Experience (if any)

Education level

Supply and demand for your services

The prices in your industry

The average freelance hourly rates in your niche

Your location

Once you have all this data, you’ll need to calculate your hourly rate based on it — higher education, experience, and demand for your niche will mean you can set higher prices. If you’re based in the US, you’ll likely be able to command higher rates than if you’re based in the Philippines. Of course, your living standards and expenses will be higher, so you’ll also need to command higher rates.

 Create a website (and portfolio)

Once you’ve defined your business goals, found a niche, identified your target clients, and set your prices, you’ll want to create an online presence. And, the best way to do so is by creating your own website with a portfolio showcasing your previous work, skills, and expertise. There are plenty of amazing tutorials on YouTube.

Creating a website for free through a website builder like Wix is fine, but you’ll be better off if you were to buy a domain name from a hosting website. You’ll get a unique name for your online presence and a customized email address, so you’ll look much more credible and overall more professional to potential clients.

Regardless of what your industry is, it may be best if you were to choose your own name for the domain, especially when you’re mostly looking to showcase your portfolio. You’ll stand out better, and it’ll later be easier to switch to a different industry (or niche) if you find that you want to.

Once you’ve selected a host and domain name, you can install WordPress to your website, and choose the website’s theme. Then, you can add a landing page describing your services, and prices, maybe even a separate page for a blog where you’ll write about industry-related topics.

 Find your first client

Your first client may contact you because of your personal website portfolio, but you should also actively pursue your first gig bearing in mind what employers look for. There are several ways you can do this:

Get involved in your industry’s community

Learn how to pitch through email

Look through freelance job platforms/websites

 Expand your network

Once you’ve landed your first client, you’ll need to work on finding recurring clients. Perhaps your first client will become a recurring one. And, perhaps the referral you’ve been given by said first client will inspire others to contact you and provide a steady stream of work.

In any case, it’s best that you expand your network — and here’s where the famous Pareto principle comes in handy. According to it, cultivating a good relationship with 20% of your clients will help you find 80% of new work through their referrals. Moreover, each new 20 referrals increase your chances of getting new projects by 80%.

To expand your network, you can:

partake in industry webinars

attend events

join Facebook groups, pages and communities

streamline your LinkedIn network

send out invites to professionals in your field (or a field that often requires your services)

 Work on additional skills

Apart from your core, industry-related freelance skills (i.e., your hard skills), you’ll need to work on some additional skills — your soft skills.

Soft skills are more personality-related: communicativeness and critical thinking are probably the most important traits to pursue, but, you’ll also need to be persistent, good at handling stress, an efficient scheduler, and skilled in time management.

The more you can skill up yourself, the more expensive you will become. Remember knowledge is priceless.

You’ll also need to be confident, to persuade your potential clients that you possess the skills and experience they’re looking for.

 Conclusion

Entering the freelancing business may sound overwhelming and complicated, but it’s actually pretty straightforward, once you follow the right steps.

Take time and do what you find passionate about.

Its happening because of your habit.

These days most of the beginners have it. Which is copying and pasting.

Please try to avoid this habit. It wont help you. Only it will cost your time.

One solution from my side is, try to do the coding by yourself. Don't copy past codes. Try to do the coding line by line by yourself. If you face any problem or get stuck somewhere, then research about it. Try to clear your basics first.

And one last thing, this field requires time to be a pro. Take your time & keep creating new thing yourself. If you don't have the interest to create something new by yourself, then you cant learn it.

It will take time. You can watch my video tutorials about HTML & CSS to clear your basics.

The Benefits of Using Bootstrap Framework.
Using the Bootstrap framework saves time in many ways by taking advantage of reusable code for Navbars, Dropdowns, Labels, Alerts, List groups and JavaScript plugins. Using the framework offers these design benefits:

Easy to prevent repetitions among multiple projects.

Responsive design that can be used to adapt screen sizes and choose what shows and what doesn’t on any given device.

Maintaining consistency among projects when using multiple developer teams.

Quick design of prototypes.

Cross-browser compatibility.

Ample documentation.

I have some bootstrap video tutorials for beginners. Anyone can start watching this tutorials.

Hi everyone, in this react tutorial we will create a responsive navbar using react js. Also we are going to learn how to use codesandbox.io as an online code editor. We will create our complete project on codesandbox.io.

 Get Free Logo

Also, we will see some free logo site, from where you can get free dummy logos to use in your project. Get the free logos from here, Logoipsum.com.

 Deploy Your Project

After creating our professional looking responsive navbar, we will deploy it on GitHub & Netlify for free.

We have added a label “Difficulty level: 0“. Because we are going to create this responsive navbar using basic react js syntax. After this tutorial, we are going to create another navbar using advance react js techniques. We will learn how handle dynamic properties, how to properly use components etc.

But if you are a beginner, then I will suggest you to practice this beginner friendly tutorial first.

 Video Tutorial:

Our navbar will be well responsive. We can use our navbar in any kinds of devices. We have used css media queries to make this navbar responsive.

 To get started,

If you are using codesandbox with me, then you don’t need to follow this steps. But after completing this project, if you want to edit/moderate this project in codesandbox then you can follow this steps.

Visit our GitHub repo & download it. Its a empty starter template.

Open your VS Code if you are using vs code instead of code sandbox. Otherwise you can follow the tutorial.

Drag and drop the project in vs code.

Open a terminal & run this command.

npm i && npm start

After purchasing the source code, follow this steps.

Drag and drop the project in vs code.

Open a terminal & run this command.

npm i && npm start

It will install all the necessary react dependencies & start your project on your browser.

Already created the navbar? Then don't stop now. We will create another responsive navbar using react js. This time we will use advance react features to create this navbar.
