FixFirst AI — Replit Buildathon

The idea for FixFirst AI came almost by accident.

A relative of mine recently started fully renovating an old apartment. The apartment had many visible problems, but the hardest part was not only the renovation itself — it was knowing where to start.

What should be fixed first?

What can wait?

What is urgent, unsafe, or likely to become more expensive if ignored?

And what is just cosmetic?

That moment made me realize this is a real-life problem for many homeowners. When something breaks, leaks, cracks, stains, or looks unsafe, most people do not immediately know how serious it is or what their next step should be.

Around the same time, the Replit Buildathon started, so I decided to turn that real-life situation into software.

I built FixFirst AI, a gamified home repair triage assistant that helps homeowners understand what to fix first.

Users can describe a home issue, upload photos, and get an AI-assisted triage organized into:

Fix First — urgent or high-impact issues

Fix Soon — problems that should be addressed before they get worse

Monitor — lower-risk issues to keep an eye on

I also designed the experience as a mission-based journey instead of a boring checklist, because home repair and renovation can already feel overwhelming. The product should make the next step feel clearer, not heavier.

The goal is not to replace contractors or inspectors, but to help people make better first decisions, avoid costly delays, and prepare better before contacting a professional.

Built for the Replit Buildathon.

Demo: https://fix-first-ai--mailtodimitrov.replit.app
