I've believed in Open Source nearly as long as I've been a developer, which is longer than I care to admit. And I've picked up some scars along the way, enough to shake my faith in the Open Source community. Last fall I set out on a journey around the world to meet the Open Source community in real life. Could I reconnect with the deeper meaning of Open Source?

I traveled to 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, 🇩🇰 Denmark, 🇮🇳 India ... and 🇺🇦 Ukraine. I met legendary Open Source developers like Mitchell Hashimoto, Poul-Henning Kamp, and Kailash Nadh. Along the way, I slept in an air-raid shelter, flew in a private jet, and ventured out into Bangalore traffic. The experience changed me forever.

Join me to discover the GIFT COMMUNITY of Open Source for yourself. 🙏
