I wanted to share something I’ve been working on that might help if you’ve ever struggled to get started on your work. For me, the hardest part of being productive wasn’t the actual work—it was getting those first few minutes done.
I’d spend too much time setting everything up: writing tasks down in a notes app, copying them into a to-do list builder, and then setting a timer on YouTube or Google. These little steps added up, and by the time I was ready to start, I’d already lost focus or motivation.

I realized I needed something simpler. A tool that lets you skip all the setup and just get to work. That’s why I built TaskQueue, a Chrome extension that combines task management and focus timers into one simple tool.

What’s Available Now?
Right now, TaskQueue’s free version includes:

Task Management: Quickly add as many tasks as you need, with descriptions and tick boxes for tracking.

Preset Focus Timers: Timers are ready to go—choose 25, 60, or 90 minutes for Pomodoro sessions or deep work.

Night Mode: A clean, distraction-free interface for late-night productivity.

It’s a minimal tool built for people like me who want to focus more and set up less.

What’s Next?
I’m currently working on the next version of TaskQueue, which will include new features:

Recurring Tasks: Automate repetitive tasks so you don’t forget them.

Subtasks: Break down larger tasks into smaller, actionable steps.

Batch Add Tasks: Quickly create multiple tasks at once.

Productivity Streaks: Stay motivated by tracking your consistent focus over time.

These features will launch as part of a premium version soon, and I’m thinking of offering both a monthly and yearly pricing option.

Why I’m Sharing This
I mainly wanted to share what I’m working on, but I’d also love to hear your thoughts:

What’s the hardest part of getting started on your work?

What features do you wish productivity tools had?

What do you think is fair pricing for the premium version?

If TaskQueue sounds like something you’d find useful, feel free to check it out and let me know what you think! It’s completely free to start, and your feedback will help shape what it becomes.

Here’s the link: TaskQueue on the Chrome Web Store.

Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Hey everyone,

As someone who’s always trying to do more with less, I recently took a hard look at my work setup and realized how complicated I’d made things. I had a notes app for writing down tasks, a to-do list app for organizing them, and a separate timer on YouTube or Google to track my focus sessions. The process became its own task, and it often kept me from actually starting my work.

That’s when I decided to simplify things. I built TaskQueue, a Chrome extension that combines task management and focus timers into one place. No extra apps, no distractions—just the essentials to get started quickly and stay on track. If you’re curious, you can check it out here: TaskQueue on the Chrome Web Store.

Here are a few things I’ve learned about simplifying workflows:

Fewer Tools, More Focus: Having one tool for multiple tasks saves time and reduces friction.

Presets Save Time: Using preset timers (e.g., 25, 60, or 90 minutes) removes the need to fiddle with settings.

Start Small: Writing down one actionable task at a time makes it easier to begin, even on tough days.

I’d love to hear from you:

How do you approach digital minimalism in your work setup?

Are there any tools or habits that have helped you focus better with less?

Thanks for reading! I’m always looking for new ideas to improve my workflow and mindset—let’s share and learn together. 😊

Hey Developers! 👋

Getting into a flow state is one of the most productive feelings in the world, but it’s often hard to achieve. The biggest hurdle? The time spent setting everything up: organizing tasks, figuring out what to do first, and setting up timers. That setup time often leads to procrastination or distractions, breaking the momentum before it even starts.

The Solution
The best way to enter flow state faster is to remove all the friction:

Have your tasks ready to go.
Use preset timers to structure your sessions.
Minimize distractions by keeping everything in one place.
That’s why I built TaskQueue, a Chrome extension designed to make this process as simple as possible. With TaskQueue, you can:

Quickly add tasks with descriptions and tick boxes.
Use preset focus timers (25, 60, or 90 minutes) without fiddling with settings.
Avoid distractions with its clean, minimal interface and night mode.
If you’re curious, you can try it out for free here: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/taskqueue/pmkhpcbppeiphckfnhdjhiplmbjhmfie

What’s your biggest challenge when trying to get into flow state? Let’s share tips and learn from each other! 😊

Hi all!

I’m building a Chrome extension called TaskQueue to help with task management and focused work sessions. Right now, I’m planning the premium version and trying to decide what features to keep free versus premium.

I want the free version to feel valuable, but I also need the premium to stand out. Have you ever struggled with this? How did you make the call?

If you’re interested, here’s the link to TaskQueue:
Help Shape TaskQueue: Feedback Wanted for My First Chrome Extension

Hey Developers! 👋

It’s been a few days since I launched TaskQueue, my first-ever Chrome extension. TaskQueue helps you set up focused work sessions and manage tasks without the usual hassle of switching between apps, notes, and timers.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is getting those first few minutes of work started. Between writing tasks down, copying them into a to-do list, and setting up a timer on YouTube (and trying not to get distracted by suggested videos), I knew there had to be a simpler way. TaskQueue was built to solve that problem.

What TaskQueue Does Now
Task Management: Quickly add tasks with descriptions and tick boxes for tracking.
Preset Focus Timers: Choose 25, 60, or 90 minutes to fit your workflow—no extra setup required.
Night Mode: Perfect for late-night focus sessions.
What’s Next?
I’m working on the next version of TaskQueue and exploring features for the premium version:

Recurring Tasks: Automate repetitive tasks.
Batch Add Tasks: Create multiple tasks at once.
Subtasks: Break down bigger tasks into manageable steps.
Productivity Streaks: Track your consistency to stay motivated.
I’d love your feedback to help shape the future of TaskQueue!

How You Can Help
I created a short feedback form (it takes 1–2 minutes) where you can share your thoughts.
Here’s the link: https://forms.gle/kyA5876r1DJFL8Ti7

Your input will help me decide what features to add, how to improve the experience, and what pricing would feel fair for the premium version.

If you’d like to try TaskQueue, here’s the Chrome Web Store link: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/TaskQueue/pmkhpcbppeiphckfnhdjhiplmbjhmfie

Thank you so much for your support, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts! 😊

The Struggles That Inspired Me to Build TaskQueue

Hey Developers! 👋

Managing tasks and staying focused has always been a challenge for me. I found myself juggling multiple tools—using a notes app to write down goals, a separate to-do list builder for tasks, and a timer on YouTube or Google to track work sessions. The worst part? Setting everything up took so long that I’d often get distracted by search results or videos, losing valuable time and momentum.

That’s why I built TaskQueue, a Chrome extension that combines task prioritization and focus timers into one simple tool. It’s designed to make productivity effortless, helping you stay on track without juggling apps or falling into distraction traps.

How TaskQueue Helps
Task Management: Quickly add tasks with descriptions and tick boxes for tracking.
Focus Timers: Set 25, 60, or 90-minute timers for Pomodoro or deep work sessions.
Night Mode: Keep working late without straining your eyes.
Archive Completed Tasks: Keep your workspace clean by moving finished tasks out of sight.
What’s Next?
The feedback from early users has been amazing so far, and I’m already working on new features for TaskQueue Premium, including:

Recurring tasks.
Batch task additions.
Subtasks.
Productivity streaks to track consistency.
And more
Your Turn!
If this sounds like something you’d find helpful, I’d love for you to check it out and share your thoughts. It’s free to start, and your feedback will help shape future updates!

Here’s the link: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/taskqueue/pmkhpcbppeiphckfnhdjhiplmbjhmfie

What are the biggest struggles you’ve faced with staying focused or managing tasks? Let’s discuss in the comments! 😊

What I Learned From Launching My First Chrome Extension: TaskQueue 🔧

Hey Developers! 👋

A few days ago, I launched TaskQueue, my first-ever Chrome extension. It’s a tool to help you quickly set up focused work sessions and manage tasks without juggling multiple apps or distractions. The journey to build and launch this project was a mix of challenges and excitement, and I wanted to share some of the lessons I learned along the way.

What’s TaskQueue?
TaskQueue is built to simplify productivity. It combines task prioritization, descriptions, and focus timers (25, 60, and 90 minutes) into one clean popup. It’s designed for people who want to spend less time setting up and more time working, and it’s completely free to start with!

If you want to check it out, here’s the link: TaskQueue on the Chrome Web Store.

The Tech Stack
TaskQueue was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. For anyone looking to build their first Chrome extension, this trio is a great starting point. The Chrome extension ecosystem is surprisingly approachable, and the documentation makes it easy to get up and running quickly.

Most Enjoyable Stages
One of the most enjoyable parts was designing the icons and UI. Seeing the pieces come together into something functional and visually appealing was incredibly satisfying. I wanted TaskQueue to look simple but polished, with features that are easy to access without any learning curve.

Another favorite was implementing the timers. I loved testing them while working on TaskQueue itself—it felt like using the product as I built it!

Biggest Challenges
The hardest part for me was testing and debugging. Chrome extensions can behave differently depending on the user’s system or browser setup, so ironing out edge cases took some time. Another tricky aspect was balancing simplicity with functionality. With limited popup space, every feature needed to feel essential.

What’s Next?
TaskQueue has just launched, and I’m excited to get feedback to make it even better. I’m working on adding premium features like recurring tasks, batch task additions, and subtasks soon, but for now, I’d love to focus on improving the free version and making it as valuable as possible.

If you try it out, I’d be super grateful for your feedback or a quick review—it really helps! Here’s the link again: TaskQueue on the Chrome Web Store.

Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear from you:

Have you built a Chrome extension before? What was your experience like?
What’s your go-to method for staying productive during deep work sessions?
Let’s keep building cool stuff! 😊

Hey Developers! 👋

I’m really excited to share my first-ever software project: TaskQueue, a Chrome extension that helps you set up focused/deep work sessions faster and with less hassle. I came up with the idea because I was tired of how much time it took to get into the zone. I’d use a notes app to write down my goals, a separate to-do list app for tasks, and then set up a timer on YouTube or Google. Half the time, I’d get distracted by other videos or search results, and before I knew it, I’d wasted 20 minutes.

TaskQueue fixes all that by keeping everything in one place. You can quickly add tasks with descriptions and tick boxes, and it comes with preset timers: 25 minutes for Pomodoro, and 60 or 90 minutes for deep work. There’s even a simple timer notification sound to let you know when your session’s done, and a night mode for late-night productivity. It’s designed to help you dive into work without distractions or extra steps.

Right now, TaskQueue is completely free, and I’d love for people to try it out and tell me how it can be better. In the future, I’m thinking of adding premium features like recurring tasks, batch task additions, and breaking down larger tasks into smaller steps. If all goes well, I’m planning to launch the premium version next month.

This is my first time building software, and I’m figuring things out as I go. If you check it out, I’d really appreciate any feedback—no pressure, though! Here’s the link to the Chrome Web Store:

Thanks for reading, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts! 😊
