What are some must attend conferences/talks/events for a backend developer?

Hi, so as the title says, what are those events or conferences that one must attend if they are interested in backend development ? I have been working on backend technologies like - Spring Boot (Java) and NodeJs/Express (JS) for couple of years now and I would like to know about these events where you get to learn/hear more about advanced topics like - Message Queue based distributed systems, Real-time event based systems etc.

What are some upcoming trends in the software industry ?

What are the current trends that are picking up pace in the software world today. I have just finished a course on microservices after hearing about it from colleagues, YouTube channels and every goddamn blog posts. Kubernetees happens to be another big thing which everyone is using or trying to use. So, what are these other software tools/architecture style/framework etc that's picking up everyone's interest in the Dev community ?

What is the best free alternative to Microsoft Teams ?

Hi guys,

I have a small team working on a idea for startup (ERP system). We are currently looking for a communication application that's free and targeted for developers. So, we checked out Microsoft Teams and that seemed to provide all the functionalities that we needed - Chat rooms, Calling facility , Github support etc. But there seems to be a bug in it. None of the members are able to schedule meetings. That's probably a temporary bug and I have contacted the support already.

Meanwhile, I was wondering what does Dev.to community suggest. Besides Microsoft Teams, Discord and Slack what are the alternatives that would best suit us ?

We are mostly looking for an application that provides - Chat facility , Calls (audio/video) and scheduling meetings. Git support and other developer friendly plugins are a plus but not necessary.
