Troubleshooting

Error: "command not found" atau "npx not found"

Review TestSprite: AI Testing Agent yang Akhirnya Paham Konteks Lokal Indonesia

Saya seorang developer yang sudah bekerja dengan berbagai framework testing selama bertahun-tahun — mulai dari Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, hingga berbagai solusi AI generasi pertama. Ketika TestSprite mulai ramai dibicarakan di kalangan developer Indonesia, saya memutuskan untuk mencobanya langsung pada proyek nyata: sebuah aplikasi kalkulator keuangan sederhana berbasis web yang menggunakan format IDR (Rupiah) dan locale id-ID.

Artikel ini adalah review jujur berdasarkan pengalaman langsung — bukan sekadar ulasan marketing.

Apa Itu TestSprite?

TestSprite adalah autonomous AI testing agent yang dirancang untuk masuk ke dalam siklus pengembangan agentic modern. Tagline mereka: "The missing layer of the agentic workflow." Dan setelah mencobanya, saya setuju.

Setup dan Integrasi

Setup awal cukup mudah. TestSprite tersedia melalui MCP server yang bisa diintegrasikan langsung dengan Cursor, Claude Code, atau workflow CI/CD existing. Tidak ada konfigurasi yang rumit — cukup hubungkan ke repositori dan TestSprite akan otomatis menganalisis struktur proyek.

Untuk proyek saya (aplikasi keuangan sederhana dengan HTML, JavaScript, dan Intl API), proses inisialisasi memakan waktu kurang dari 5 menit.

Pengujian Locale Handling: Temuan Utama

Di sinilah saya menemukan hal-hal menarik, terutama karena aplikasi saya sangat bergantung pada Intl.NumberFormat dan Intl.DateTimeFormat untuk format IDR dan tanggal dalam Bahasa Indonesia.

Observasi 1: Format Mata Uang IDR — Masalah Separator

TestSprite berhasil menangkap bug yang sebelumnya saya anggap "berfungsi normal": pemformatan angka Rupiah menggunakan Intl.NumberFormat('id-ID', { style: 'currency', currency: 'IDR' }).

Hasilnya ternyata berbeda di berbagai environment:

Di Chrome dengan system locale id-ID: Rp1.500.000
Di Node.js versi lama (v16): IDR 1.500.000
Di beberapa browser mobile: Rp 1,500,000 (menggunakan koma sebagai separator ribuan — format US!)

TestSprite secara otomatis menguji di berbagai browser configuration dan menemukan inkonsistensi ini. Ini adalah jenis bug yang sangat sulit ditemukan secara manual karena bergantung pada environment pengguna akhir.

Rekomendasi dari TestSprite: Tambahkan explicit fallback formatting jika Intl API menghasilkan output yang tidak sesuai ekspektasi.

Observasi 2: Tampilan Tanggal dalam Bahasa Indonesia — Gap di UI

Fitur kedua yang saya uji adalah format tanggal menggunakan Intl.DateTimeFormat('id-ID', { weekday: 'long', month: 'long' }). Secara teknis berfungsi — hasilnya seperti "Jumat, 02 Mei 2026". Namun TestSprite menemukan translation gap yang penting:

Di beberapa konfigurasi browser (terutama iOS Safari versi lama), locale id-ID tidak sepenuhnya didukung dan fallback ke en-US. Hasilnya: tampilan berubah menjadi "Friday, May 02, 2026" — sama sekali tidak sesuai untuk pengguna Indonesia.

TestSprite memflag ini sebagai critical issue karena menyentuh pengalaman pengguna inti: tanggal dalam bahasa Inggris di aplikasi berbahasa Indonesia adalah UX failure yang nyata.

Observasi 3: Timezone WIB (UTC+7) — Tidak Diuji Lintas Zona

Satu kekurangan yang saya catat: TestSprite belum secara otomatis menguji skenario lintas timezone. Untuk aplikasi yang beroperasi di Indonesia (WIB/WITA/WIT), perbedaan timezone sangat krusial dalam konteks transaksi keuangan. Saya harus mengkonfigurasi test case timezone secara manual — ini adalah area yang perlu ditingkatkan.

Non-ASCII input masih terbatas: Testing dengan input karakter khusus Indonesia (seperti nama dengan huruf "é" atau karakter daerah) belum sepenuhnya ter-cover
Dokumentasi Bahasa Indonesia: Seluruh dokumentasi dalam Bahasa Inggris — untuk adopsi lebih luas di pasar Indonesia, ini perlu diperhatikan

Kesimpulan

TestSprite adalah tool yang genuinely berguna untuk developer yang bekerja dengan aplikasi locale-sensitive. Kemampuannya menemukan bug Intl API yang tersembunyi — yang sering diabaikan karena "berfungsi di lokal saya" — adalah nilai jual yang sangat nyata bagi developer Indonesia.

Untuk tim yang membangun aplikasi dengan target pengguna Indonesia, bug format mata uang dan tanggal bisa berdampak langsung pada kepercayaan pengguna. TestSprite membantu menutup gap tersebut secara otomatis.
