DISCLAIMER: This is for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner cert!

 Tools

A Cloud Guru Account - Personal Basic - $35/month

Whizlabs Practice Tests - $7.95 One Time Fee

AWS Cloud Cloud Practitioner Exam Fee - $100

Total Cost: ~$143

 Study Timeline (5-8 hours)

I started by digging right in to the AWS Architect Learning Path on A Cloud Guru.

I watched the
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C01)
video
at
1.75x - 2.0x
speed on A Cloud Guru. After that, it was time to try a practice test!

 Practice Test (~45 min/ea)

Feeling semi-confident, I took a Practice Test on Whizlabs for the cert.

First attempt was a
75.38%
- Not as confident as I thought I was. -- I noted which domains I needed to focus on and re-watched those sections while taking notes using Notion

Second attempt was
87.68%
-- After that, I felt I was comfortable enough to take the exam.

 Exam (90 min)

I took the exam online and in the comfort of my home using the online proctored version of Pearson Vue.

 PASS - What's Next?

Yup. Then I passed. So what's next? I then went on to study for the next exam -- the AWS Certified Solutions Architect -- Associate which I also passed a few days later.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Agile is cool but have you heard of Humane Development?

 Agile is great.

In fact, that methodology drives many teams to create and deliver many successful products.

However, at times it seems we can forget one of the MOST important things the Agile Manifesto champions: "Individuals and Interactions over Processes and Tools". Many times we lose sight of who and what we're working on.

 Humane Development is also great!

Humane Development focuses on 4 main pillars.

Empathy

Honesty

Trust

Autonomy

The main axiom driving these these ideas forward is simple:

We are humans
working with humans
to develop software
for the benefit of humans.

If we truly want meaningful progress then software should be (and can be) created with a minimum amount of pain.

The challenge is simple, strive for this in your workplace, strive for this in your career, and strive to become a Humane Developer.

Life is too short to work for a company, a team, a boss, a Project Manager, a Product Manager, that doesn't understand this.

/endrant

https://humanedevelopment.org
