Yeah, it’s day 1 as a tech advocate readers for you, ops forget to mention the day 0 blog. If you haven’t read you can read out
here. So, We learned a little bit about the overall software development and it’s the life cycle.

Well, it’s the process of writing the source code which includes everything that is involved between the conception of the desired software through to the final manifestation of the software. Software development may include research, re-engineering, or maybe changing out the whole stack of the software product too. The misconception of people about Software development is that it’s all about coding stuff laying down on the computer with a bunch of coffee.

There are many approaches to software project management known as the software development life cycle. One of the famous and old ones is the waterfall model as you may have heard too. For the beginner one, there might be a misconception about the waterfall model, it’s not a model girl sitting behind the waterfall. It’s the mythology that software engineers follow and ship out their code into production. There are a few steps to implement the waterfall model in your daily software engineer day.

These are the basic steps that software engineers follow but there might be more steps too but this is the basic one. There are many processes too it’s not like there is only a waterfall model for the software development life cycle.

So why others exist? Because there needs to be improvements in this waterfall model and other reasons too. Some of the drawbacks of the waterfall model are listed below.

One thing is that all the things in the waterfall model are dependent on each other. What’s the solution to that?

The Etymological meaning of Agile means to move quickly and easily. Agile is a process by which a team can manage a project by breaking it up into several stages and involving constant collaboration with stakeholders and continuous improvement and iteration at every stage.

Agile includes the following procedures.

Few Benefits of Agile

Now, let’s dig dive into Development and Coding Stuff.

Coding is a part of the process where software engineers program the code for the project. Coding can be classified into many types. Commonly on web development, there are four types.

Front-end is a part that users interact with. Everything you see while browsing through your computer or mobile is a part of front-end development. It takes a bigger role. Major technologies used in Front-end Development are:

It’s the part of the software which determines how the whole functionality of the application works. You are mostly focused on business logic to solve their problem through your code. You have to work with the database to perform CRUD( Create, Read, Update & Delete) operations and working with APIs (Application Programming Interface) to render where you wanted too and other tasks. There are tons of language to use as a back-end language. Some of them are listed below.

Data is everywhere in today’s world even in your motion too. So what’s the relation between data and database? Well, database management data that you wanted. The database is a collection of data used for storing, managing, and retrieving information. You used social media and you chat with your friends and message transfer from your phone to server and server to your friend. Here, the message is your data, and to manage that data, the database takes action. There are many databases out there. Some are SQL and NO-SQL database.

We learned a lot and it was worth it. Now, there is something new too.

It’s a set of operating principles and collection of practices that enable application development teams to deliver code change more frequently and reliably. It’s the interaction of development and operation tasks. The benefits of DevOps are listed below.

I think there is no exact definition of Full stack development. There are the ones considered as the jack of all trades but master of something specific too. A full-stack developer is an engineer who can handle all the work of databases, servers, systems engineering, and clients. It doesn’t mean that they will be coding 24/7 hours. They will work on a project where they will be wearing many hats and they are capable of working new technologies too within a few spans of times. These are just the basic things we learned but with each and small topic, there is the vast scope of it which I can’t share in a single blog.

At the end of the session, we learned about how the software engineer spent time in the company. Note, it might be different from the company to the company too. These are the basic things that include in software engineer daily workout.

I was really excited about day 1 too. We are learning each and everything parallel. I learned few things already so I easily caught those concepts too. I hope you might feel worth reading my article. Thank you.

Hi there, I was excited to know the results that whether I was selected for software engineer trainee or not, finally I am selected and lots of brothers and sisters had been too. Congrats to them and hope all will be graduated as it is challenging too. I had applied a month ago, wrote a proposal, resume, and review it to the seniors and submitted them. Now, what’s next?

Today, Insight workshop academy welcomed through the virtual session as it was going to be onsite in Kathmandu but as we know due to global pandemic, it was compiled to be in the virtual one. I think it will be further days too. Well basically I am not promoting here about the company, but the company has really smart people working remotely too and it’s multinational. Some branches are in the USA and Nepal. We got many instructors from Project manager to Principal Software engineer as they will guide us on how to grab the skills and career guidance. As this program doesn’t focus only on hiring in their company, it’s main aim is to make a global software engineer who can able to work anywhere either remotely or onsite.
We got a syllabus too. Let me share the syllabus.

Big Picture: Software Engineering
Well, this topic will be a discussion of up to 1 week. Our instructors will give an idea about the full-stack software development and how the software engineer code and push the code into production. We will be learning about the web fundamentals just a basic one and tools as well as technologies. We will learn about how the day goes into the life of a software engineer. Instructors are variable but highly professional and there will be guest instructors too. I am excited about that. Today, we were introduced by three instructors from a business perspective, career, and academics.

Fundamentals of Web Development
This will be interesting too like I have learned basic but didn’t go deep. we will go deeper about the HTML and CSS. The time interval will be 2 weeks where we do a few micro-projects too and lots of assignments, QA, and live discussion. I forget to mention JS and ES6 too. Yeah, in today’s global tech market and for becoming a better developer, JS has been a hot topic and must learn too when it comes to web development.

Python Programming
Yeah we will be learning python too for back-end and we will be going deep dive into OOP and it’s the paradigm. The time interval will be 2 weeks. But the thing is we will be learning the above topics parallel too. It’s not about learning into one topic only, it’s about learning and connect the dot of other technologies and enhance the skills for making out real-world project.

Back-end Framework- Django
Django is one of the popular and already adapted web framework in the industry and it has been used by many companies too like Instagram, Reddit and other. We will be learning about its philosophy, perform CRUD Operations, authentications, and other core elements. We will be making out the projects on each topic too. The time interval for this topic is three weeks.

Django REST Framework
This is the bigger part and API is used everywhere nowadays. We will be learning out making RESTAPI using the Django rest framework and consuming REST API. The time interval for this topic is one week.

Front-end Library – React
As we will be learning back-end stuff and we won’t be stuck only out there. We will be learning out front-end library – React which is one of the most popular libraries out there. As we learned Modern JS, it will be a little bit easy to make hands-on in react. We will learn from basic to advance one like it’s cli, component states, life cycle, hooks, JSX, event binding, API integrations, and data management. The time interval will be 1 week.

Capstone Project
After learning all this stuff, we will be learning how to make a project that we learned so far. The time interval will be around 2 weeks. I think this will be a major project that we will do. Everything that we learned parallel will be implemented in this period. We will be learning how to deploy our app in different cloud services too. At the end of today’s session, we were recommended a software engineer book that should be must-read out by every software engineer “Clean Code A Handbook of Agile Software Craftsmanship“. I looked out the review and I think it’s worth to read out, I am sure I will read out during this lock-down period and be more productive.

It’s not learning about tech stack too, we will be learning on how to work on scrum methodologies and collaborate. Thank you.

Kickstart to First Semester CS Project

Hello there, are you fighting with corona right? Yeah Everyone is. Stay safe and if you have time, you can welcome to read this short article. Currently, I am the first-semester student, learned a lot of things during my college time, and had a few awesome memories too. I haven't completed my semester and our exam canceled too. During this lockdown, I wanted to make my productive time so I am starting out my own opensource project to enhance my skills.

Well, my project name is Kovidju - Web app that gives the info about coronavirus which will be written in Django for Back-end stuff and React for front-end. It will be a simple one as I had started coding from my college time. Later, the project will be further built with Flutter App too. Kovidju will be hosted in Azure and it will definitely be helped to make hand dirty in cloud and DevOps stuff too. First of all, to initiate this project, I have done planning and system design too. Check it out.

I think rather moving directly to coding parts, planning, and designing the system that we are gonna build should be done. Otherwise, it would be difficult to scale the project later on. I will be sharing out my further blog of Kovidju Project. Thank you. Feedback is welcomed.

Hey yo, what’s up Good morning. Right now I am a freshman computer science student from Nepal and I wanna share my knowledge of how the day was.

I’ve just got onto campus from the bus station and head off to the Computer Science department. The first day was not about learning cool stuff like programming, hacking and many more. The class was about to start at 12:00 pm and I was in traffic Jams. So I just go as fast as I can by walking on the street and went to the Campus. I was going to the Computer Science Department to take first-class but boom (thug-life) by Campus. There was no one else and I was only and I start to act little bit weird what the hell is going on? One brother told me that hey bro, today is your computer science orientation and it is going to held in Physic Department.

After onwards, I went to the physic department and I meet new fellows. And It was awesome and having some meal too. We did some stupid things too like food was given to each and every one freshman student and we took two times. It was fun to do during orientation. We learned the syllabus and some tips told by Computer Science professors and other department professors too. And kind of knowledge of campus history and hostel too. After the end of the orientation of class instead of learning to hack and code, we just meet and make new friends. And time went so fast that we even didn’t notice and went to the hostel by walking and talking with friends. That’s how the day went in my first computer science class. If you wanna know more tips and something valuable stay connect and thank you.

Posted in csaju.com

During my journey in tech, I used to involve in many tech events as I want and wanted to learn from them. And yes still I am doing it but selective one. Gonna give back to the community.
It’s a unique one that I have attended this webinar online. so, TechWebinarNepal is a free webinar series hosted by passionate Nepali tech admirer. It was founded by Jay Raj Mishra in 2018.
Every month the techwebinarNepal searches for new expertise that sparked hundreds & thousands of students, developers who are working on real-world track schemes so that they can bestow their expertise with others. It’s a great platform to market and show your skills to the tech industry.

The audience can be anyone likely involving in tech. The webinar is conducting every month and I still love to watch and learn. I also recommended every tech enthusiast to attend online this webinar and learn from the tech professionals. Wait, don’t make a compliment that I don’t have time to watch this webinar. you can watch Netflix series and play pubg or something else, can’t you manage some few hours to attend this webinar to learn and grow your self. and one more thing, you can get some swags too from this webinar. It’s gonna be randomly but luckily you will get swags to trust me, I have been gone through it.

TechWebinarNepal also represents it in a BizFest too to provide an awesome opportunity to people to share their specialist in their field. You can get lots for opportunities too.
