How to Create compute instance in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

To get started on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Step 1

Sign In to Oracle Cloud: Go to the Oracle Cloud website https://cloud.oracle.com/ and sign in to your Oracle Cloud account.

Note if you do not have Oracle account you are expected to create Oracle cloud Infrastructure Account. Verify your email address add your credit card and start using the infrastructure services

Step 2
Navigate to the Compute Services

Click on create compute

In this article I called my instance rider_pack

In creating instance Oracle features gives you chance to update your configuration like

Choose Oracle Linux OS for instance

Note the higher the specification the higher the cost of the infrastructure advisable you choose minimal specifications, and you can scale up later.

From the above image, the excepted cost at end of the month is 1.85 Euro

Click create button to create your instance

Make sure you download private key to access your instance using SSH connection

You can now access the instance after creating the Cloud Infrastructure

What is CLI?
